Mark and LaDonna have visited with the extended family on Creech Mill Road many times over the years. Typically these events are much bigger and this year my adult children were not able to attend. Likewise the family in Florida were not in town. We still had a fine time.
Wednesday Night prior to Thanksgiving we went to the American Legion Turkey shoot in Pine Level North Carolina.
The Turkey shoot went well and surprisingly there were not large crowds, so there was a lot of opportunity to practice in a controlled environment.
Dyllan races the Johnston County Redsnake, it is v6 toyota truck with a reputation for being way too fast for v6 races. In fact, he was most recently competing with the v8 trucks, but had an accident recently while mudracing at twitty’s. On his second run the pittman arms which how the tires in straight broke and Redsnake got damaged.
Fortunately, Dyllan was ok, and the Redsnake will ride again. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Ayq51ThEM
While the food was being prepared early on thanksgiving morning we consumed a variety of mud racing videos.
I guess anyone would know what would follow an extraordinary meal and some casual conversations before our return to Virginia.
If you read this post, thank you and I hope you too had a Happy Thanksgiving with some of the elders in your family.
