Founders

Aleta Carroll Chambers, Fayetteville, NC

Like many people, I wear many “hats” in life. As a Christian, I am actively involved in various activities at my local church, including teaching children’s Sunday school and participating in Ladies Bible studies. Additionally, I substitute teach at our Academy. After retiring from my accounting career, I transitioned to teaching online as an Adjunct Professor. Previously, I worked in tax preparation services.

As a USAF veteran, I am dedicated to volunteering with several veterans’ organizations and a Christian charity. My genealogical research has also led me to become a member of the DAR (Member #866754). Currently, I enjoy sharing life’s adventures with my husband, Scott, our dog, Copper, and many cherished family and friends.

Mark Caroll

As a Navy veteran, I served in various veterans organizations before finding my passion in the soil. Ladonna, my wife of over 30 years and our three adult children live in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We live a more rural life currently with dogs, cats, chickens, birds, and rabbits. I call my homestead Scuttlebutt Farm.

Like my sister, I wear many hats, just less formally. Inspired by nature and natural processes and a Extension Master Gardener I study horticulture, soil science, and practice or endeavor to practice permaculture principles. Leveraging 23 years of naval service I manage training projects preparing Carrier Sailors to use the most advanced systems.
